  With its revolutionary wireless technology, the LevelOne WNC-0500 MIMO (Multi-input, Multi-Output) wireless PCMCIA Adapter and other MIMO products allows you to access totally superior wireless connections. This adapter is equipped with 32-bit PCI v2.2 user-friendly interface thus enabling high-bandwidth data transfers between adapter and desktop PC.
  
  Based on proven technology, the WNC-0500 is backward compatible with IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11b for faster data transfer rates. There is no need to replace your existing wireless device to realize the advantages of MIMO technology thus protecting your original investment.
  
  In order to create a solid wireless connection, LevelOne WNC-0500 consistently and quickly boosts your WLAN throughput to meet the requirements of streaming videos, VoIP applications, gaming and large file sharing functions. When the card is connected to the standard 11g or 11b APs or routers, it can perform much better than client's current units.
  
  With MIMO technology, this card enables you to connect to wireless networks at farther distances than before. The unit has two internal antennas for signal reception and one for high power signal transmissions. Not only is the connection distance enhanced, but also "dead spots" in the network are reduced.
  
  For WLAN security issues, this card supports 64/128-bit WEP data encryption that protects your wireless network from eavesdropping. It also supports a WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) feature that combines IEEE 802.1x and PSK (Pre-Shared Key), TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) technologies. Furthermore, this card supports WPA2 that provides a stronger encryption mechanism through AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), which is a requirement for some corporate and government users.
